Amber is a diversely skilled professional holding certifications in Project Management, Change Management and Volunteer Administration. With over two decades of experience in nonprofit leadership, she brings both a wealth of expertise and a passion for building on potential to her work. She has overseen a great deal of growth and transformation at the Centre since her arrival, contributing to its success with her ability to cast vision for the future while also remaining engaged in its day-to-day, hands-on work.
A qualified Early Childhood Educator and accomplished children’s theatre instructor, Glenn brings over 25 years of experience in educating and entertaining young people to his role at the Centre. His innovative approach to children’s programming aims to create a safe and fun environment in which every child can thrive. He is a consummate storyteller and believer in all things magical, with a passion for inspiring a sense of childlike wonder in everyone who crosses his path.
Shannon is a certified Physical Literacy instructor and puts her wealth of varied skills and experience to use in almost every facet of Centre life, from administration to operations to programming. On any given day you might find her honing administrative processes in the office, supporting and training new staff, promoting programs and events, or engaging kids in active play in our child care programs.
A well-loved fixture in the Rogers community for almost a decade and a half, Sarah’s years of dedication and experience make her a vital asset and core contributor to the Centre’s continuing health and success. She is a certified Early Childhood Education Assistant, with a breadth of skills and knowledge that allows her to be equally comfortable both leading children’s programming and overseeing facility maintenance.
Caitlin brings a diverse skill-set in administration, finance and professional communication to her role at the Centre, along with several years of experience in nonprofit leadership. Her dream is to see the Centre become a hub of activity for community members of all ages and backgrounds. She is an outdoor enthusiast and music lover with a passion for connecting people in working toward the common good.
The years of experience Sonia has gained in service and management since arriving in Canada from Sierra Leone over a decade ago have equipped her with a broad range of skills and an incredible work ethic that she devotes to any task that comes her way. A natural collaborator, she is always looking for opportunities to support the team and contribute to the overall success of the Centre, be it in program development, facility stewardship, or child care.
A certified Early Childhood Education Assistant, Hilda oversees the programming for our youngest community members at the Centre. Children’s programming is a second career for this Texan-born Certified Dental Assistant, who has a particular passion for seeing the unique impact of outdoor learning on kids’ health and development. Always full of energy and ready to take on a new challenge, Hilda is known around the Centre as the Energizer Bunny, and devotes much of her spare time to volunteerism.
Barb brings many years of experience working in finance to her role as Bookkeeper for the Centre. Her ability to solve complex challenges and make order out of chaos is an invaluable asset to our growing and changing organization. In her spare time she can often be found curled up with a good fantasy or science fiction novel, or playing video games with her daughter.
